ABOUT US

Our Founding Story

At least 30% of women across the world report having been dismissed by a doctor.

This is true for Wisdom founders, Lauren & Frankie, who were passed around by the healthcare system without answers to their symptoms. That is, until they found naturopathic medicine.

Wisdom was created to provide women with the type of care that Lauren & Frankie spent years searching for.

Our Mission

To support women with long-lasting relief by providing a care experience that effectively investigates and addresses the root causes of all symptoms.

THE NATUROPATHIC APPROACH

We built the Wisdom team around naturopathic medicine for a reason

Naturopathic Medicine is a branch of medicine rooted in whole-body health. Naturopathic Doctors (NDs) attend a four-year, accredited, graduate-level medical school, where they study anatomy, biochemistry, minor surgery, pharmacotherapy, herbal medicine, body mechanics, nutrition, mind-body health, and homeopathy. NDs also spend approximately 30% more time studying women's physiology than many other types of physicians.

Naturopathic Medicine utilizes a variety of tools that often carry fewer risks and side effects than medications or surgery alone. NDs focus on disease prevention, as well as restoring balance to the body. NDs typically lean on natural therapies - centered around nutrition, supplements, and lifestyle -  rather than masking what's "broken" with pharmaceuticals. This doesn't mean that NDs are anti-medication. It just means that NDs often use pharmaceuticals as a second line of defense, depending on the person.
