Overview

I am a licensed Naturopath trained at the University of Bridgeport College of Naturopathic Medicine in Bridgeport, Connecticut. I have been consulting in my own private practice for the past decade. I truly believe in the body’s healing capability when obstacles to cure such as poor diet, stress and a sedentary lifestyle are addressed. Trained in botanical medicine, homeopathy, hydrotherapy, clinical nutrition, and physical medicine, my goal is to identify and remove factors that cause disease with the use of natural therapies. My areas of special interests include women’s health and hormone balance, digestive health, and supporting nutrient deficiencies in the body.

About

Naturopathic medicine found me in 2009 while attending a women’s conference. I knew I wanted to pursue a career in medicine but the conventional medicine route did not align with my core beliefs and I was disappointed with the conventional medical model. My friend invited me to attend a women’s conference and little did I know, this would be the place where I’d be introduced to a field of medicine that would change my life.

One of the guest speakers happened to be a Naturopathic Doctor. Something inside of me sparked as she was speaking about her career path and her role as a Naturopathic Doctor. I immediately knew that naturopathic medicine was my calling and so my journey began.

While attending naturopathic school I was able to experience first-hand the benefits of naturopathic medicine. The stress of school and going through a divorce significantly impacted my already low-functioning thyroid. My endocrinologist had me on the highest dose of levothyroxine for my weight class yet my body was not responding to the medication. Naturopathic medicine saved me when conventional medicine had nothing more to offer. My naturopathic doctor used botanicals and micronutrients to take my body out of “fight or flight” mode so that I could better absorb levothyroxine and within a few weeks, my thyroid hormones started to normalize.

This experience confirmed that I was on the right path, and I’m so grateful that naturopathic medicine found me and allows me to help so many individuals meet their health goals.

VIRTUAL NATIONWIDE CARE

Accepting members in 45 states

Starting care with Wisdom is now easier than ever with our out-of-state consulting options!

WE SERVE MEMBERS ACROSS THE U.S., EXCLUDING NY, AL, FL, SC, & TN

  • Why not in the other 5 states?

Since lab testing laws in New York make testing options fairly limited, it is often difficult for our members to complete their recommended testing in-state. At Wisdom, testing is our go-to method for uncovering and targeting the root cause(s) of our members' symptoms - so without testing, it becomes less likely that we can honor the quality care experience that we take pride in at Wisdom. Naturopathic care is not yet legal in AL, FL, SC, & TN.

  • If my Wisdom doctor is licensed in a different state from where I am located, how does this change my program?

Your program will be just as in-depth and comprehensive as if you were working with a doctor in-state! The only differences:

Your Wisdom doctor will be legally serving as your consultant. Therefore, they cannot serve as your primary care physician.

Your Wisdom doctor may need to add a $10 fee to your lab order so that a physician in your state can legally order testing for you.

Your Wisdom doctor will not be able to prescribe pharmaceutical medication for you. If there is ever a need, we will encourage you to go through a primary care physician near you, or we will happily help you find one.

You will not legally be qualified to apply to your insurance for possible reimbursement for your Wisdom appointments.
